CBD FAQ

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) harmonizes with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which is known to bring the body’s systems into balance by improving intercellular communication. Our CBD is extracted from hemp and is not psychoactive. It provides a multitude of benefits without the mind-altering high of marijuana and pharmaceutical drugs.

What are the benefits of using CBD?

CBD is known for helping with pain relief, focus, sleep, and anxiety. CBD also has powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties and is known for easing inflammation, chronic pain, and everyday tension.

What are the benefits of hemp oil?

Hemp seeds, from which CORENINE’s carrier oil is made, are rich in protein, polyunsaturated fatty acids, omega 6, omega 3, and insoluble fiber which can help to support the body’s own natural immune response.

Who can use CBD?

Everyone (over the age of 18) can benefit from using CORENINE’S CBD products. Some of its most therapeutic benefits include helping with pain, anxiety, metabolic health, sleep, focus, and appetite regulation. CBD also has powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which ease chronic pain, muscle and joint tension, and inflammation.

Is CBD legal?

Hemp is legal in the United States when the plant contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight, which is true for all CORENINE CBD products.

Can CBD make you high?

No. All CORENINE CBD products are made with hemp-based CBD, which is non-intoxicating and non-psychoactive, so you won't feel high, but you will feel the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and calming benefits of CBD. All of our CBD products contain a Certificate of Analysis (COA), which ensures that the THC levels are below 0.3% and are verified by certified independent lab testing.

Why CORENINE over another CBD brand?

It’s our goal to bring you high potency, superior quality products that have been both lab tested and certified — and to provide these products at an exceptional value. We carefully select strains of hemp that contain naturally high levels of CBD and cultivate them in our FDA registered USA farms that are free from artificial chemicals and pesticides and regulated by the state. We then test and verify our products at an independent laboratory for certification.

After our hemp is harvested, we use ultrasonic extraction technology, which is a specially calibrated machine that creates sonic pressure to break the hemp plant’s walls and cell membranes. This technology yields more cannabinoids and terpenes than traditional methods to provide a superior full spectrum product.

All of our full spectrum products contain less than the legally permitted THC level of .3%. Our CBD products contain all parts of the hemp plant and sixty cannabinoids, including cannabidiol (CBD) and THC.

Plants can absorb nutrients and chemicals from the soil and environment, and this is magnified with hemp because CBD oil contains such a concentrated portion of the hemp plant. This is why we use an organic, unadulterated hemp source for our full spectrum CBD products.

Which CBD product should I choose?

The most common way to take CBD is to ingest the oil orally, such as our CBD softgels which are easily digested and assimilated into the body. When CBD is ingested, it passes through the digestive system and is metabolized by the liver, sending the active compounds to the bloodstream.

For fast relief, our CBD Relief Balm can be topically applied and absorbed through the skin on isolated areas of the body where relief is most needed.

What softgel dose should I take?

Each person will metabolize and react differently to CBD. We recommend one 50 mg softgel per day and increasing as needed after consulting your physician. Please note that our full spectrum CBD softgels contain less than .3% hemp-derived THC, but if you increase your softgel dose to more than 50mg per day, you could possibly produce a positive THC test result.

What does full spectrum mean?

All of CORENINE’s CBD products are full spectrum which provide the most effective results. Full spectrum CBD contains all components of the hemp plant, including terpenes and cannabinoids that demonstrate a wide range of health benefits. Full spectrum CBD also produces a synergetic effect — called the “Entourage Effect” — which enhances the benefits of CBD.

All of our full spectrum products contain less than the legally permitted THC level of .3%. Our CBD products contain all parts of the hemp plant and sixty cannabinoids, including cannabidiol (CBD) and THC.

Why full spectrum instead of isolate or broad spectrum?

Isolate and broad spectrum CBD are regarded as less effective than full-spectrum CBD. Products made with isolate CBD do not contain THC, making them safe for people concerned with drug testing, but their efficacy is greatly diminished without the legal 0.3% THC.

How does CBD help with oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress wreaks havoc on the body. When tissues use oxygen to burn food as fuel, the reaction produces unstable particles known as free radicals, which have negative effects on your tissues. CBD is believed to possess antioxidant properties exceeding vitamin C or vitamin E in intensity to reduce toxic chemicals in the body.

Is there an expiration date for CBD products?

The quality of our CBD products is maintained for approximately two years when stored properly.

What is the best way to store CBD products?

We recommend storing our CBD products in a dry, cool area with no direct exposure to constant light or excessive heat and humidity.

Should I take CBD softgels with food?

Our CBD softgels can be taken both with or without food. We suggest it to be taken with food to optimize bioavailability.

How long does it take to feel the effects of CBD?

There are many factors that impact the speed and efficiency of absorption. A person could feel the effects of an orally ingested CBD softgel as quickly as 10-15 minutes or up to an hour or two. Other people begin noticing significant results after taking softgels daily over a period of 1-4 months.

We recommend taking CBD every day for at least 30 days to experience its full effects.

Most people experience immediate results from our topical CBD Relief Balm, which can last from 4-12 hours, depending on personal metabolism.

What is the difference between hemp and cannabis?

The key difference between hemp and cannabis (marijuana) is the amount of THC (Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol). Cannabis contains THC which is responsible for producing a high, euphoric effect. Hemp, on the other hand, produces no euphoric effects because it has less than 0.3% THC.

Is CBD covered under health insurance?

There is a great deal of variability in health coverage, so we recommend you speak with your insurance provider directly.

Should I take CBD softgels with food?

Our CBD softgels can be taken both with or without food. We suggest it to be taken with food to optimize bioavailability.

Should I take full spectrum CBD if my job tests for THC or marijuana?

The federal government considers cannabis with less than 0.3% THC by dry weight to be hemp, and therefore legal under hemp guidelines. While unlikely; there is always a small risk when subjecting oneself to employment tests while ingesting full spectrum hemp products immediately before a test or over long periods of time in relatively significant doses. Employment tests vary in the threshold they use to determine a positive test. Operators of aircraft and heavy equipment may be subjected to a zero tolerance of THC, while medical practitioners typically are held to a 50 nanogram per milliliter of THC limit. Athletes subjected to WADA and some other employers in states where marijuana is legal use a threshold of 150 nanograms of THC per milliliter. With that in mind, we encourage all of our consumers to decide for themselves the likelihood that they will be tested and what that particular test’s parameters are before taking our full-spectrum products. Consult your physician for more information.
